How to estimate quit-smoking savings (KRW)
Use cigarettes per day, pack price, and cigarettes per pack to estimate daily and period spending in Korean won.
Key takeaway
Daily estimate = (cigarettes per day ÷ cigarettes per pack) × pack price. Period estimate = daily × number of days. Figures assume your current habit continues—they are references, not proof you quit.
Three inputs you need
Cigarettes per day, pack price in KRW, and cigarettes per pack (often 20) are enough for a daily estimate.
This is not your bank statement—it is a what-if based on today's habit.
Formula
Daily estimate = (cigarettes per day ÷ cigarettes per pack) × pack price. Period estimate = daily estimate × days.
Example: 10 cigs/day, ₩4,500 pack, 20 per pack → about ₩2,250/day and ₩67,500 over 30 days (estimates).
How to read the numbers
Price hikes, sharing cigarettes, or smoking more on weekends change real spending. Re-check weekly if you use this for motivation.
Savings estimates do not guarantee quit success.
- Re-check empty, zero, or unusually large inputs
- Cigarettes per pack cannot be zero
